Capital's picnic spot

Kuda Bandos is the only decent picnic spot for the residents of Male' where they can relax during the weekends or public holiday. Which is now in need for upgrade in nearly all the facilities available on that island. If during a school holiday the island will be full it will be so difficult to find a good spot to camp out. Probably if you arrive later you will have to camp within crowded area. As the seas near Male' are completely polluted this is the only place we can clean swim without getting lavished by diesel or sewage.

They have water sport facilities like jet ski, banana boat, canoes available there but its quite expensive due to the sky rocketing fuel price. Perhaps someday we will have resorts only for Maldivian, where a normal Maldivian could survive. What is the use of so many tourist if the resident of this nation cannot enjoy the beauty of our nation.

Where's GREEAN PEACE ????

Yes where is the GREEN PEACE when they are needed. This pictures show of up rooting of lots of trees and being relocated to some rich guys's resort. This is the place where it is planned to build 15 floor hotel building by the world famous Shangri-La. I hope they will plant some more trees when their hotel is done. As this is the most green area in Male' (chk frm Google Earth).

Heroes of Maldives

We take everything for granted. We spend our entire day in our beautiful air-conditioned office working. Not knowing how the world is going on. How other people are working or what they are doing. Today morning I went around Male for a ride with my cam. And what I saw melted my heart. Sometimes we think we are hardest working and we are busiest people, but we are wrong.

This people who work on sea goes for there job in what ever weather conditions. They cant wait till the rain stops as we can (specially govt staff). If they wait the money flow also wait. This their only way of income. Their family is depending on this.

Yet we always complain of our problems, and less money, they don't have special bonus, medicals, pension or overtime.

I salute to all the hard working people on the sea. Hats off.
